Accupuncturist
Joseph Chong Lee has been a licensed acupuncturist in New Jersey State and New York State since 2007. After being licensed, he has been working at many Rehab Centers and had run a very successful practice in Hackensack, NJ until the Pandemic disaster. Now we are quite excited to bring his expertise to Bergenfield with us. A good portion of Joseph’s work has centered around pain treatment, female problems, and geriatrics with cupping, guasha, electric stimulation, and nutrition counseling. He has a lot of experience with various kinds of headaches, neck pain, sciatic pain, PMS, burn patients, and after-stroke patients.
Joseph graduated from the New York College of TCM with a master’s degree in Health Science, and the Eastern School of TAM for the Herbal degree. Also, he is a diplomat of Oriental Medicine and a Board-certified Acupuncturist and Herbalist. Joseph is dedicated to the health and well-being of all of his patients and looks forward to guiding you on your journey to better health.
Physical Therapist
Dr. Rebecca Rayappa graduated from Binghamton University with her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and minor in Health and Wellness Studies. She then earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Stony Brook University. While earning her DPT, Rebecca has enhanced her professional journey in outpatient physical therapy with treating various patient populations including post-operative, pediatrics, return to sport athletes, orthopedic injuries, balance/fall prevention, Parkinson’s disease and progressive neurological conditions. Rebecca’s versatility and experiences also extends into school-based and acute care physical therapy.
She is driven by a passion for assisting patients in reclaiming their functional and athletic capabilities, while considering personal limitations and interests. In addition to utilizing a holistic approach, she emphasizes the importance of education about her client’s conditions throughout her sessions to maximize their confidence and independence. Outside from her work, Rebecca enjoys working out, reading, and expanding her culinary horizons by trying new recipes.
Chiropractor
Dr. Neal Calabrese was born and raised in Bergen County. He became interested in chiropractic after being treated for various sports injuries throughout high school and college where he was able to see the value of a hands-on practitioner. Dr. Calabrese graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Kinesiology before pursuing his chiropractic degree at Southern California University of Health Sciences. While in school, Dr. Calabrese worked at numerous different clinics that specialized in sports medicine, pain management, and rehabilitation. After graduating, he completed a residency program in Philadelphia, PA that focused on workman’s compensation and personal injury cases. During his time he has worked on professional boxers and football players, CrossFit athletes, and all different members of the general population.
Dr. Calabrese appreciates a holistic approach to medicine and enjoys working with multiple disciplines to ensure the most effective treatment of the patient. His goal is to equip the patient with the tools to help manage their conditions on their own in order to get back to doing the things they love, pain-free. Dr. Calabrese believes exercise and nutrition are the foundations of a healthy lifestyle. In his free time Dr. Calabrese enjoys watching sports, spending time with friends and cooking with his family.

I graduated from William Paterson University with a B.S. in Biology, and went on to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers University in Newark, NJ. I have experience working with a variety of patient populations and settings including athletic injuries, chronic pain, progressive neurologic disorders, post-operative care, geriatrics, and cardiopulmonary conditions. Through my experiences and clinical affiliations, I learned that I am passionate about helping people feel better and further affirmed my belief that movement is medicine. My goal is to help you improve your quality of life through manual therapy, functional training, and education on steps you can take to facilitate your healing process. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family/friends, going to the gym, and playing with my dog.
Occupational Therapist
Hi, my name is Mary and I am an Occupational Therapist! I completed my undergrad and Masters in OT at Seton Hall University. I had the opportunity to gain experience in multiple practice settings including school-based pediatrics and skilled nursing facilities, but I found that my passion is in Outpatient because of the diversity in population that we treat. I have treated various musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and post-operative conditions involving the neck, back, shoulder, hands, wrist, elbow, and more. Conditions range from general pain to specific diagnoses like carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, trigger finger, stenosis, spondylosis, and more. I find great satisfaction in getting people back to doing the things they need to do! In the future, I would like to take courses/certifications to expand my hand on skills. In my free time, I like to relax, hang out with family/friends, watch tv shows/movies, cook, and go shopping.
Occupational Therapist
Dr. Ben Boonstra is a registered Occupational Therapist with the National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy who graduated from Creighton University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a focus in Kinesiology. He then continued his studies at Creighton University where he completed his Doctorate of Occupational Therapy in 2023. Throughout his clinical rotations, he has treated a variety of post-surgical, athletic, musculoskeletal, and neurological conditions. He specializes in upper extremity conditions that relate to the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand but values treating all injuries/conditions that impact your ability to perform your valued activities.
Dr. Boonstra strives to promote a holistic approach to care that takes into account your routines, habits, interests, roles, limitations, and desired abilities to help achieve all of your rehab goals. He has developed a unique treatment approach involving a promotion of functional activities, body mechanics, neuromuscular facilitation, strengthening, and occupational independence to promote your healthy recovery. He plans to continually develop his therapeutic skills through becoming a certified hand therapist. In his free time, he enjoys playing backyard games, catching up on movies, watching baseball, and hanging out in the mountains or on the beach.

Janki Joshi PT DPT received her Bachelors in Physical Therapy from India in 2008. She further received her Master’s degree from Brooklyn College, CUNY in 2011 and Doctor of Physical therapy from Arcadia University, Pennsylvania in 2019. She has 15 years of experience in the field both nationally and internationally working in an outpatient setting. She has extensive experience working with different age groups with various Musculoskeletal and neurological conditions including pre and post-operative conditions. Over the period of 15 years she has learned different techniques including Myofascial Trigger Point release, McKenzie technique, Mulligan technique, Taping technique, Neural Mobilization and Mobilization of Spine and peripheral Joints. She believes patient education is a critical part of the treatment and she takes her time to explain to patients about diagnosis and various treatment techniques during the course of the rehab as well as answer any questions they may have. She works by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to get faster and better results for her patients. She likes to create individual patient goal oriented treatment plans to restore patient lifestyle and return to their favorite recreational activities. She lives in Bergen County with her family and when she is not working, she enjoys cooking, listening to music, spending time with family and friends and traveling. She is fluent in English, Gujarati, Hindi and semi-fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Mahesh Patel is a prevention-minded chiropractor committed to providing exceptional care and promoting the wellness of his clients. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College and Master of Science in Sports Science and Rehabilitation from Logan University.
Dr. Mahesh Patel has gained invaluable experience in sports performance and medicine while at Mamba Sports Academy in California. He provided specialized care to aid healing, build strength and prevent further injury to professional athletes.
Dr. Mahesh Patel’s multidisciplinary background includes sports science, rehabilitation, medicine, and the natural sciences. Driven by a commitment to continuous learning, he stays abreast of new developments in chiropractic treatments and ensures his patients receive the best possible care. He uses a variety of different techniques to meet the diverse needs of his patients. Dr. Mahesh Patel is certified in Active Release Technique, Graston Technique, FMS, SFMA, FMT (RockTape), and Mulligan Manual Therapy Concept.

Mr. Qingdong Wang is an efficient acupuncturist. He obtained his master’s in traditional Chinese medicine from the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Mr. Wang currently practices at Physical Therapy & Rehab Centers in New Jersey. Mr. Wang takes a genuine interest in researching and educating himself on various new advancements in his field so his patients get the best and the most advanced treatment possible. My name is Nagyla! I am a physical therapist and my professional career has revolved around helping others get back to moving the way they want to. I graduated from William Paterson University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a concentration in Anatomy and Physiology in 2019. I found a passion for physical therapy and graduated from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2022. I am passionate about hands-on rehab as well as good education regarding the anatomy of healthy bodies, injury prevention and management, and maintaining good body mechanics during everyday activities. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, reading, cooking and going to the gym!

Dr. Fanny Wong is an alumnus of New work Chiropractic College where she received her Doctorate in Chiropractic and Masters in Applied Clinical Nutrition. Dr. Wong holds a New York and New Jersey Chiropractic license. Prior to this, Dr. Wong attended University at Buffalo where she received her Bachelor of Sciences in Biological Sciences.
Dr. Wong values patient-centered and evidence-based care and strives to increase patient’s longevity and improve their quality of life. Dr. Wong believes in treating the body as a whole and not the symptom. She tailors each treatment plan to the individual’s specific needs to help them reach optimal recovery.
Physical Therapist
Disha Vin received her Bachelors and Masters degree in Physical Therapy from M. S University, India. She further obtained a Doctor of Physical therapy from Dominican College, New York. She has over 10 years of experience in the field both nationally and internationally with specialization in advanced treatment of patients suffering from orthopedic injuries and pain management. Disha has gained extensive experience working in a number of different settings like acute care hospital, ICU rehab and various therapy clinics. Disha has been honing her therapy skills in manual therapy and has a certification in Maitland manual techniques for spinal mobilization. She has spent most of her PT career working in outpatient orthopedic clinics as well as has experience with vestibular dysfunction and balance disorders. Disha enjoys problem solving and figuring out individualized treatments to meet each person’s evolving needs. Her approach rests firmly on the current evidence of manual intervention paired with movement patterns to optimize functional performance.
Chiropractor
Dr. Brett Hodshon is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician who received his Bachelors of Science from Rutgers University in 2013 and his doctorate of chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in 2017. Dr. Brett is a nationally accredited Sports Chiropractor who found his passion for chiropractic after sustaining a sports injury in high school and was successfully treated with chiropractic care. The care he received got him back on the ice and allowed him to continue his career playing 4 years of division one club ice hockey at Rutgers. Dr. Brett is an evidence based practitioner who addresses the patients needs and focuses on proper body mechanics to help patients get out of pain and stay out of pain. In his free time you can find Dr. Brett on the golf course, Fishing on his kayak, or spending time in the great outdoors

Maria completed her undergraduate studies at Kean University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then graduated from Columbia University in 2021 with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. Maria has clinical experience working with adults with musculoskeletal conditions, neurological conditions, cardiac conditions, post-surgical conditions and psychological conditions. Maria also has experience working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
As an Occupational Therapist, Maria approaches rehabilitation via a holistic approach that uses bio-physical means to improve participation in every activity required to live an independent, productive, and satisfying life despite a certain diagnosis, injury, ailment, altered ability, and/or illness. Her goal is to further her education to be well-versed in a broad range of evidence-based treatment methodologies and modalities to help patients through their rehabilitation journey and improve their quality of life. During her free time, Maria enjoys spending time with friends/family, traveling, exercising and trying new cuisines.
Physical Therapy Assistant
Jonathan graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelors in Exercise Science. Later he completed his Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (AAS) in May 2020. He worked for an outpatient rehabilitation facility which focused on assisting sports-related injuries. Throughout his clinical rotations, Jonathan has also had experience working with those that have suffered from traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord injuries. His goal is to be well-versed in a broad range of programming, treatments, and modalities for restoring and mitigating functions in order to better support his patients. During his free time, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his daughter (Sophia) and dog (Frankie), fishing, being a grill master and playing video games.

Pooja completed her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. She graduated from Clarkson University in 2021 with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and is a registered Occupational Therapist with the National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy. During her fieldwork, Pooja treated patients with various musculoskeletal conditions, neurological conditions, cardiac conditions, and post-surgical conditions.
Via her fieldwork experiences, Pooja can design and implement treatment plans to enhance occupational engagement for varying age groups ranging from children to older adults. Pooja considers your body, everyday habits, routines, and roles when treating any functional limitations while focusing on your unique needs to improve your quality of life. Pooja’s therapeutic skills within the occupational therapy scope of practice include but are not limited to upper extremity conditions and limitations, fine/gross motor limitations, balance training, work simplification/energy conservation, functional mobility, body ergonomics/lifting technique training, functional limitations with activities of daily living (i.e., dressing, bathing, grooming), and limitations with instrumental daily activities (i.e., home management tasks such as cooking, cleaning, driving). Pooja plans on furthering her skills through various therapeutic based courses and certifications. During her free time, Pooja enjoys traveling, watching movies and tv shows, and spending time with friends/family.

Dr. Van Eck attended Northeast College of Health Sciences where he completed his Doctorate of Chiropractic (D.C.). Prior to attending graduate school, he attended Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania and graduated with a B.S. in Exercise science with a focus on kinesiology and exercise physiology. Dr. Van Eck is a musculoskeletal and biomechanical specialist that strives for patient success and rehabilitation by using various techniques. In his journey he has treated a variety of patient populations such as elite athletes, high level musicians, the average weekend warrior, as well as the general population. He has experience with a variety of conditions such as, migraines, parkinson’s disease, disc herniations, and post-rehab care.
Dr. Van Eck was born and raised in Bergen County, where he fell in love with the idea of building and helping the communities he belongs to. He believes a strong community builds strong people, and that is exactly what he tries to do within the practice setting.

Urvi completed her undergraduate in Physical therapy from Gujarat University in India in 2012. She worked for Cardio-respiratory and out-patient orthopedic rehabilitation facilities for a year. During her work, she has treated patients with various musculoskeletal conditions, post surgical rehabilitation as well as acute cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation. After that, Urvi earned a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Midwestern State University, TX. Currently, Urvi is pursuing Doctorate degree in Physical therapy from Dominican University in Brooklyn. She strives to provide an intensive, total body approach to fitness, rehabilitation and wellness. She specializes in orthopedic, spine and sports physical therapy. In her personal time, Urvi loves to read books, take zumba classes and listen to country music.
Chiropractor
Dr. Ian Thomson is a New Jersey native, born and raised in Bergen County. He completed his Bachelor of Sciences in Kinesiology from Penn State University in 2017, with a focus in Movement Science. He then moved on to graduate from New York Chiropractic College in 2020, earning both his Doctorate of Chiropractic and Master’s of Science in Applied Clinical Nutrition. Dr. Thomson employs a variety of soft tissue techniques, chiropractic manipulative therapies, with an emphasis on functional exercise, to obtain optimal patient results. Dr. Thomson aims to treat the entirety of the patient and he joins the Physical Therapy team utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, treating the many factors contributing to pain.
Through his experiences in clinical rotations and a background in personal training, Dr. Thomson has had the pleasure of working with a variety of age groups and abilities, to help them maximize their overall function and quality of life. He works compassionately alongside each patient, in order to create a thorough and achievable treatment plan to reach individual goals. Dr. Thomson is an avid hockey fan, loves cooking/trying new foods, and hiking with his dog in his spare time.
Physical Therapist
Priyanka Pandya, MS, PT, is a licensed physical therapist certified in several manual therapies, including cupping, rock taping, and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization along with soft-tissue mobilization. Priyanka is dedicated to helping patients of all ages and backgrounds return to a pain-free life.
Before graduating from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, with a master’s degree in exercise physiology, Priyanka earned a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy and worked in a cardiac unit in India. After finishing her master’s degree, Priyanka moved to New York, where she gained valuable experience working in the rehabilitation department at Long Island Jewish Medical Center as well as an outpatient rehabilitation facility.
Priyanka has expertise in treating all types of orthopedic conditions and sports injuries. An athlete herself, Priyanka has personal knowledge of injuries related to exercise and the nonsurgical and nonpharmacologic methods of treating them. She also works with older adults on important issues like fall prevention and managing arthritis pain.

Dr. Leithauser graduated from The University of Scranton with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and concentration in nutritional studies. In 2020 he then went on to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY. Through his experiences and clinical affiliations, Kevin has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of orthopedic conditions and patient populations including athletic injuries, post-operative care, cardiopulmonary conditions and neurological disorders. Dr. Leithauser aims to take a holistic approach to creating his patients treatment plans, and return his patients to their hobbies and activities through a combination of manual therapy and functional strengthening programs.
Kevin is a NJ native and was born and raised in Bergen County. His interest in physical therapy started when rehabbing a shoulder injury that he obtained from playing football. During his free time, he enjoys hiking with his dog, exercising, spending time with family and friends and watching sports.

I graduated from Northeastern University in 2016 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Since then, I have worked in both outpatient and home care settings. In that time, I have managed and helped patients heal from diverse types of injuries including post surgical, chronic neck and low back pain, and acute sports injuries. My goal is to help the patient return to their desired quality of life, and provide thorough education to avoid potential for re-injury. I want to provide the best quality of care to each individual patient, so it is important to keep learning. In my free time, I love playing with dogs, trying new foods, and going to the beach.

Clifford graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science where he developed a strong interest in exercise physiology and rehabilitation. He then went on to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Rutgers University in Newark, NJ in 2017. Throughout his clinical rotations, Clifford had the opportunity to deliver specialized care to a wide patient base seeking Physical Therapy for athletic injuries, neurological impairments, post-operative care, lower limb amputations and cardiopulmonary conditions.
As an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist and Personal Trainer, Clifford joins Town PT with a philosophy that fuses rehabilitation and fitness, and a focus on improving quality of life. Clifford plans on furthering his education and skills through various manual therapy and orthopedic based courses and certifications. During his free time, he enjoys running, playing music, and spending time with family and friends.
